~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Meg?ve is a famous ski resort in the Alps, dating back to 1913. It started its development in the 1920s when Baroness Maurice de Rothschild opened its first major hotel in 1921, after becoming disenchanted with St Moritz as a skiing resort. By the 1950s Meg?ve was one of the most popular ski resorts in Europe, and attracted many celebrities. As well as Meg?ve itself, the skiing area also includes the Combloux and Cote 2000 resorts. The resort has a skiable area of 8 km², and an uppermost point at 2350 m.
