Megalon

Megalon (メガロ - Megaro) was a fictional beast from the film Godzilla vs. Megalon (1973). Megalon is often called a giant cockroach, but in actuality, he more closely resembles a stag beetle than he does a roach. His arms are high-powered rotating drills, he can spew napalm spheres, and his horn can project lightning bolts.

As the guardian of the underground nation of Seatopia, Megalon was awakened when its land was ruined by underground nuclear tests. Sent to punish the humans on the surface, Megalon demolished a large section of Tokyo before being confronted with Godzilla and the Ultraman-like robot, Jet Jaguar, in a battle which - fortunately for the relatively low budget of the film - took place largely outside the city. Allied with Gigan, Megalon put up quite a fight against the two heroes. It was not enough, however, and Megalon was eventually driven back to Seatopia.
