Medora, North Dakota
Medora is a city located in Billings County, North Dakota. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 100. It is the county seat of Billings County{{GR|6}}.

The city was founded in 1883 by a French nobleman Marquis de Mores, who named the city after his wife Medora Von Hoffman. de Mores wanted to ship refrigerated meat to Chicago via the railroad. He built a meat packing plant for this purpose and a house Chateau de Mores. The latter is now functioning as a museum.
