Medicare

There are several publicly funded health services in various countries called Medicare:

• Medicare (Canada) is a comprehensive, universal (for all the citizens and permanent residents in the country) public health financing system.
• Medicare (Australia) is a similar comprehensive public health scheme.
• Medicare (United States) is a publicly funded health insurance scheme for the elderly and disabled only.
