McVitie's
McVitie's is a biscuit brand owned by United Biscuits. Its first major biscuit was the McVitie's Digestive, the first ever digestive biscuit created by a new young employee, Alexander Grant in 1839. The name was derived from its high content of baking soda as an aid to food digestion. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
