McDonald, Pennsylvania
McDonald is a borough located partially in both Washington and Allegheny counties, 18 miles (29 km) southwest of Pittsburgh in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. In the past, manufactories of bottles, oil-well drilling tools, flour-mill products, etc., existed here. Oil and coal were produced extensively in the area. In 1900, 2,475 people lived here, and in 1910, 2,543 people lived here. As of the 2000 census, the borough had a total population of 2,281. McDonald was also the home of NFL coaches Marvin Lewis and Marty Schottenheimer and Oscar-winning songwriter Jay Livingston.
