• "Pour le Mérite" for Science and Arts 1915 (in 1930 Planck became chancellor of this order)
• Nobel prize for physics 1918 (awarded 1919)
• Adlerschild des Deutschen Reiches (1928)
• Max-Planck medal (1928, together with Einstein)
• Planck received honorary doctorates from the universities of Frankfurt, München (TH), Rostock, Berlin(TH), Graz, Athen, Cambridge, London and Glasgow
• The asteroid 1069 was given the name "Stella Planckia" (1938)
