Mauricio Gugelmin
Mauricio Gugelmin was a Formula One driver from Brazil. He participated in 80 grands prix, debuting on April 3, 1988 for the March team. Both he and team-mate Ivan Capelli qualified in the top half of the grid, but both had problems before completing a lap, which unfortunately typified the fast-but-fragile nature of many of the team's cars. In 1990 Leyton House's heavy sponsorship saw the team's name change. For 1992 he went to Jordan, for what proved to be his final F1 season. He achieved 1 podium (in his home race in 1989), and scored a total of 10 championship points.

He also drove in CART from 1993-2001, usually for Bruce McCaw's PacWest team, often alongside fellow former-F1 driver Mark Blundell and had a single win coming in 1997 in Vancouver, finishing 3rd in the championship that year. He retired after a traumatic year including the death of his disabled son.
