Maurice Podoloff
Maurice Podoloff (1890 - 1985) was a U.S. lawyer and basketball & ice hockey administrator. He was the only president of the Basketball Association of America between 1946 and 1949. He was the first commissioner of the NBA from 1949 until 1963.
