Matt Jones (football player)


 

Matt Jones (born April 22 1983) is a football player selected with the 21st pick of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is considered by many to be the "overall most athletic player" in the last 10 years to be drafted into the NFL. He played collegiate ball at The University of Arkansas (mascot: The Razorbacks), located in Fayetteville, AR. He attended high school and played ball at Northside High School in Fort Smith, AR. In both college and high school he was a standout in both football and basketball (as well as being track sprinter in high school). During college, he played predominately at the position of quarterback, but is currently spliting time between wide receiver and running back in the NFL.
