Washington High School is nationally famous for its football team, which is featured in the film Go Tigers!. The team, which began play in 1894, has compiled a record of 750 wins; 214 losses; and 75 ties (standings thru 2004 season). The Tigers play their home games at Paul Brown Tiger Satdium (seating capacity: 18,000; artificial turf); a live tiger cub named "Obie" is on the sidelines for each home game. Massillon's arch rival are the Bulldogs of neighboring Canton McKinley High School. The final game of the regular season schedule each year (both for Massillon and Canton McKinley), it is the only high school contest in America to feature odds in Las Vegas. In 112 meetings (1894-2004), Massillon leads the series 59-48-5.
