Mary Livingstone
Mary Livingstone (June 23, 1905 - June 30, 1983) was an early star of American radio.

Born Sadie Marks in Seattle, Washington, she grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia. She is said to have been working as a lingerie salesgirl at The May Company Department Store in downtown Los Angeles when she met her future husband Jack Benny. She married the comedian in 1927 and they remained together until his passing in 1974. Using the stage name "Mary Livingstone" she became an important part of Benny's very successful radio show in the role of his wisecracking lady friend. Her brother, Hilliard Marks, produced her husband's televisonshow.

He last name is invariably spelled without the "e" as was the case with her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her contribution to radio at 6705 Hollywood Blvd.

Mary Livingstone retired from show business in 1958 and died in 1983 in Holmby Hills in Los Angeles. She was interred next to her husband in the Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery in Culver City, California.
