Reports of the time estimated her height at 5 feet and 7 inches (1.70 metres). Her hair colour is somewhat uncertain. She has been variously reported as being a blonde or redhead. Her reported eye colour was blue. Sir Melville Macnaghten (1853 - 1921) of the Greater London Metropolitan Police Service reported that she was known to have "considerable personal attractions" by the standards of the time.
