Martine Franck
Martine Franck (b. Antwerp, 1938) is a Belgian photographer, and was the second wife of famous photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson. She administers Cartier-Bresson's estate, and currently lives and works in Paris.

From 1963 she worked at Time-Life in Paris. Henri Cartier-Bresson first met Martine Franck in 1966 when she was photographing Paris fashion shows for the New York Times, and soon after this he left the famous Magnum Photos agency to concentrate on drawing portraiture and landscapes. In 1967 Henri and his first wife Ratna "Elie" were divorced. Henri married Martine, who was thirty years younger than him, in 1970. She worked at the Vu photo agency in Paris from 1970 to 1971, then in 1972 was a founder of the Viva agency. In January 1973, Martine and Henri adopted a little girl named Mélanie.

Martine Franck has now become a well-known photographer in her own right. She became a full member of Magnum Photos in 1983, and has worked for Vogue magazine. She has been the official photographer of the Théâtre du Soleil since 1964. Her other major photographic projects include documenting the ancient Gaelic community of Ireland, and the education system of the Tibetan Tulkus monks.
