Mark Ramprakash
Mark Ravin Ramprakash (born 5 September 1969 in Bushey, Hertfordshire) is an English cricketer. His father is a Guyanese Asian, and his mother English. Along with Nasser Hussain, he was one of the two leading English half-Asian cricketers of the 1990s and early 2000s. He is a right-handed batsman, who first made his name for Middlesex, before playing for England. In 2001 after his England career ended he joined Surrey, becoming the first man to captain both Middlesex and Surrey when he stood in for Mark Butcher at the start of the 2005 English cricket season. He ended up captaining Surrey for most of the season, as Butcher did not recover from injury until the middle of August.

This move was supposed to ensure Ramprakash first division cricket, but it brought considerable unhappiness from many Middlesex members, and indeed backfired when Surrey were relegated - in a game against his former county - in September 2005. However, he gained some personal consolation by hitting 252 in the game, putting on a county record fifth-wicket partnership of 318 with Azhar Mahmood (204 not out) as Surrey made 686/5 declared and won by an innings and 39 runs.
