~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Dunn was born in Memphis, Tennessee and now lives with his wife Mary in Greenwich Village. Among the twenty-five plays Dunn has written (as of 2001), Belles and Five Tellers Dancing in the Rain have been produced over one hundred fifty times. Dunn is presently playwright-in-residence with the New Jersey Repertory Company and the Community Theatre League in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. He has also written three novels, Ella Minnow Pea, ', and Welcome to Higby. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Dunn seems to be particularly interested in the epistolary novel, Ella Minnow Pea being written as a series of memos and ' comprised entirely from the footnotes of a lost and fictional biography. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
