Marie Claire
Marie Claire is a french women's fashion magazine published in France (in French), the United States and the United Kingdom (in English).
Brief History
The first issue Marie Claire issue was released in the United States in the September/October issue of 1994. However, Jean Prouvost created the original issue in 1937, which was distributed each Wednesday. Newsstands were crowded at all times, and the magazine became extremely popular at a rapid pace. This all would come to a halt.

In 1942, Germany stopped the distribution of magazines, and Marie Claire was one of them. The magazine was not redistributed until 1954. At this time, it became a monthly publication versus a weekly one. In 1976, Prouvost retired and his daughter Evelyne took over the magazine and added L'Oreal Group to the company.
