Margareta Eriksdotter
Margareta Eriksdotter (d. 1209) was the daughter of the Swedish king Eric the Saint. In 1189, she married the Norwegian king Sverre. After his death, she retired to her estates in Västergötland and Värmland, but she was forced to leave her daughter Kristina Sverresdotter behind in Norway.

January 1st 1204, two days after her return in Norway, her step-son king Haakon III of Norway died with obvious symptoms of poisoning. Margareta was suspected of the crime, but one of her servants tried to prove her innocence by Trial by ordeal, which failed. The servant was drowned and Margareta fled back to Sweden. She was back in Norway 1209, when her daughter married Filip Simonsson, the king of the Bagler.
