Marc Almond


 

Marc Almond (born July 9, 1957 in Southport, Lancashire) is a British singer. He started his music career as a member of Soft Cell and Marc and the Mambas, but he has been a solo artist since 1984. Still, Soft Cell has materialized over time to be considered by a rather considerable cotingent of critics to be a seminal electronic-disco outfit influential well beyond their short shelf life.
