Maranello

Maranello is a town in northern Italy near Modena, population about 15,000; best known as the home of Ferrari motorcars and Scuderia Ferrari, legendary Formula One racing team. Ferrari makes supercar named the 550 Maranello and 575M Maranello. Maranello was also home to the Scaglietti carrozzeria, now owned by Ferrari.

In connection to Maranello is the small town of Fiorano. This is where the Ferrari factory is located and where the Scuderia does many of its tests during the F1 season. The tests are performed on a private track owned by Ferrari which is simply known as the Fiorano track.
