Mao Zetan


 
 

M?o Z?t?n (毛泽覃, also named M?o Z?l?n 毛泽淋, courtesy name first Yǒngj? 咏菊, then R?nj? 润菊) (September 25 1905 - April 25, 1935) was the youngest of Mao Zedong's two brothers. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1923. In 1927, he participated in the Nanchang Uprising, retreating with the Communists to the Jinggang Mountains at its completion. At the age of 29, he was killed in battle while fighting Kuomintang forces at Jiangxi.
