Manhasset is a hamlet (and census-designated place) located in Nassau County, New York, USA. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 8,362.

Demographics

As of the census{{GR|2}} of 2000, there are 8,362 people, 2,831 households, and 2,185 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 1,350.9/km² (3,505.8/mi²). There are 2,917 housing units at an average density of 471.2/km² (1,223.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 72.08% White, 12.42% African American, 3.10% Native American, 6.90% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 1.66% from other races, and 1.84% from two or more races. 7.16% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
