Manga Entertainment
Manga Entertainment is a licensor and distributor of Japanese animation/anime(but not the English slang use of manga despite the name) in the United States and United Kingdom. The company was founded in London in 1991, and began to operate in the US in 1994. It is now headquartered in Chicago, with offices in London, Los Angeles and Tokyo.

Although most of their profits come from DVD sales of anime films and TV series, Manga Entertainment have also released some of their films in theaters. Ghost in the Shell, Perfect Blue and Ninja Scroll have all had a theatrical release. Other popular titles they distribute are the two Neon Genesis Evangelion movies: ' and The End of Evangelion, Read or Die, Kai Doh Maru, Virus Buster Serge, Macross Plus, Appleseed, ' and the Lupin movie The Castle of Cagliostro. Manga Entertainment UK also sublicences some titles such as Akira and Patlabor from American companies who do not have a UK arm.
