Mandya
Mandya is a city and district in Karnataka state of India. The name comes from a saint Mandavya. Mandya is 40 km from Mysore and 100 km from Bangalore. The district is home to the famous Brindavan Gardens, at the Krishna Raja Sagar reservoir, The Shivana Samudram waterfalls with their hydroelectricity generation plant, Srirangapatna (capital city of Tipu Sultan), and the Melukote temple. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
