Malin Head
Malin Head, in County Donegal, Republic of Ireland, is the northernmost point of Ireland. It is on the Inishowen peninsula, the land mass which sits between Lough Swilly and Lough Foyle.

It is also the location of a Meteorological Service weather monitoring station. Storm force 12 winds are are recorded at the station during most years. The highest measured gust to date is 98 knots, recorded on 16 September 1961 when the remnants of "Hurricane Debbie" swept up along the west coast of Ireland causing widespread damage.
