Maize, Kansas
Maize is a city located in Sedgwick County, Kansas, United States. It is located in south-central Kansas, near Wichita. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 1,868. Its current mayor is Clair Donnelly.

Maize was founded by Henry Loudenslayer in 1886, and incorporated May 17 1915. The name maize (the Native American word for corn was suggested a by the Wichita & Colorado Railroad, as the town was founded as along the railroad through the corn belt.
