Maisons-Alfort
Maisons-Alfort is a town and commune in France, in the southern suburbs of Paris. It is located in the Val-de-Marne département.

Formerly larger, it lost a part of its territory when the commune of Alfortville was created in 1885.

The town is on the RER D line (two stations: Maisons-Alfort Alfortville and Le Vert de Maisons), and also on line 8 of the Paris Métro (three stations: École Vétérinaire de Maisons-Alfort, Maisons-Alfort Stade and Maisons-Alfort les Juilliottes).

The Fort de Charenton, constructed between 1841 and 1845, has since 1959 housed the Commandement des Écoles de la Gendarmerie Nationale.
