Magoun Square
Magoun Square is a neighborhood of Somerville, Massachusetts located at the intersection of two major streets, Broadway and Medford Street, with the smaller Dexter Street. It is close to Tufts University in neighboring Medford, Massachusetts. It is a mixed-use urban area. Medford Street crosses into Medford just north of this intersection and becomes Main Street.

Magoun Square continues to experience a local business renaissance in 2005 after a large drugstore moved into the heart of the square in early 2004. The Magoun Square Neighborhood Association coordinated by Joe Lynch is intimately involved in this ongoing revival/renewal.

Magoun Square was named after Thatcher Magoun, a Medford icon who led its shipbuilding industry in the mid-1800s1.
