Magnetization

Magnetization is related to dielectric materials, the most common being a ferromagnet. The other magnetic substances are paramagnet and diamagnet. By definition, the magnetization of a substance is the magnetic dipole moment per unit volume. M = m/V.

Magnetization is not always homogeneous within a body, but rather a function of position. A magnetized body creates a demagnetization field that opposed the applied magnetic field.
