Magnavox (Latin for "loud voice") is a consumer electronics company that is now part of Philips Consumer Electronics. The Magnavox Company was founded in 1917 with the introduction of the first loudspeaker which Edwin Pridham and Peter Jensen invented in 1915 and gave it the Magnavox name.
