Mad Capsule Markets
The Mad Capsule Markets is a Japanese band which combines heavy guitars with hard programmed beats, as well as many experiments into softer electronica elements, reggae, and pop-influenced punk. Although they have released many albums in Japan, it has been their recent albums Osc-Dis (Oscillator in Distortion) and 010 which have brought them success in the West with the track Pulse from Osc-Dis being included on the soundtrack for the Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 videogame. The lyrics, while quite often so distorted you cannot hear the exact words, varies between English and Japanese, often in one song. 1990-2004 Signed to JVC Victor Japanese Record Label until recently (2005) moving to Sonys Japanese Label.
