MacFlecknoe
MacFlecknoe is a verse satire written by John Dryden. Written after the Restoration of England, when King Charles II had come to power, Mac Flecknoe is full of satire and critcism. It is a direct attack on Thomas Shadwell, another prominent poet at this time.
