M1911
The M1911 is a single action, semi-automatic handgun, originally chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge, although it has also been chambered for the .38 Super, 9mm Parabellum, and other loads. It was designed by John Browning, and was the standard-issue handgun in the combat arm of the United States Armed Forces from 1911 to 1985. It was widely used in World War I, World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
