M.A.S.K.

M.A.S.K. was a TV animated series produced by DIC Enterprises, Inc. A total of 75 episodes were broadcast from Sept 30, 1985-1988 in syndication. One of many cartoons produced during the 1980s as a vehicle for toy merchandising, M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Kommand ) was a hybrid of popular era cartoons G.I. Joe and Transformers series. It featured a military task force, led by Matt Trakker, with transforming vehicles engaged in an ongoing battle against evil terrorist organization V.E.N.O.M. (Vicious Evil Network Of Mayhem) with an emphasis on super-powered helmets and masks worn by the characters on the show.

There is a degree of debate over exactly what the fourth line of the song is; popular opinion has it at either "Soon as they arrive," or "Till the day arrives," followed by "At the site!" or "Out of sight!".

M.A.S.K's theme song bears a subtle resemblance to the stage theme for Elecman in the first Megaman game, which, in turn, also bears a strong resemblance to the opening four chords of "Faithfully" by Journey.
