M*A*S*H (novels)
M*A*S*H: A Novel About Three Army Doctors, the original novel that inspired the M*A*S*H movie and TV series, was written by Richard Hooker, himself a former military surgeron, and was about a U.S. mobile army surgical hospital in Korea during the Korean War. It was originally published in 1968 and followed by two Hooker-penned sequels, M*A*S*H Goes to Maine (1972) and M*A*S*H Mania (1977), as well as several additional "quickie" sequels ghostwritten by Charles E. Butterworth.
