Lyn Paul


 

Lyn Paul is a pop singer who was born on 16 February 1949 in Manchester and made her name when she joined the New Seekers in 1970. Eve Graham sang lead on most of their earlier hits but Lyn was gradually entrusted with some lead parts and was the featured vocalist on hits including their 1973 Eurovision Song Contest entry, "Beg, Steal or Borrow" and the No. 1 hit "You won't find another fool like me".

In 1974 she left the group and performed as a solo artist for many years. Times became hard however and she was declared bankrupt in 1995.

Shortly afterward however an upturn occurred when she starred in the West End production of Blood Brothers which was a part she continued in until 1997 though she also reprised the role many times up until 2005.

She also starred in the stage production of the Boy George musical Taboo.

Lyn Paul has also turned to acting with some success appearing in both Emmerdale and Doctors on ITV.
