Louis I, Cardinal of Guise
Louis I, Cardinal of Guise (October 21, 1527, Joinville – March 29, 1578, Paris) was the fourth son of Claude, Duke of Guise and Antoinette de Bourbon, and the younger brother of Charles of Guise, Cardinal of Lorraine.

He became Bishop of Troyes on May 11, 1545 and was transferred to the see of Albi on June 27, 1550. He was created cardinal on December 22, 1553. He received the archbishopric of Sens on May 9, 1561, but resigned it in 1562 to Cardinal de Pellevée. On October 5, 1568, he was made Bishop of Metz. He crowned Henry III of France (February 13, 1575).
