Lough Gill
Lough Gill is a lough (or lake) in County Sligo in the Republic of Ireland. It is about 8km long and 2 km wide. It drains into the River Garavogue near Sligo Town. The picturesque lake is surrounded by woods and popular with birdwatchers. It contains about 20 small islands, including the Lake Isle of Innisfree made famous in a poem by William Butler Yeats.
