Lou dog

Lou dog was the male Dalmatian of lead singer Bradley Nowell of 90's Ska Punk outfit Sublime. Known as the original rockstar dog, Louie and Brad had a very close relationship, and Louie was always seen on stage at Sublimes concerts, curled up next to Brad's feet as he performed.

Lou dog's most infamous moment was when he defecated on the floor in the office of an MCA executive when Sublime were negotiating a record deal so to speak. Despite this, Sublime still left with the record deal, proving that their music was good enough despite the fact they showed up to the meeting drunk.

After the death of Bradley Nowell, the band released their self titled album "Sublime". Without the possibility of having Brad showing up in their video clips, the band decided that they would have his closest friend appearing in his place, and the honour was given to his long time companion Lou dog.

Lou died of old age in 2001, and had his ashes thrown in the ocean next to the spot where Brad's ashes were scattered, as a symbol of unity between those two long time friends.
