Two nine years old girls, rude Luise Palfy from Wiena, and respectful shy Lotte Körner from Munich, meet on a summer camp in Seebühl. Lisa is curly, Lotte wears ponytails. But except that, they look alike.

They never saw each other, but soon they find out that they are twins. Their parents divorced, each keeping one of the girls. The girls decide to do something about it. By the end of the summer camp, Lottie makes her hair go curly, Lisa ties ponytails. And both go off to where they have never been before. The adventure begins.
