Lorne (N.W.T. electoral district)


 

Lorne was the first electoral district created in the history of the Northwest Territories.

The district was created in 1881 and saw the first election, and elected member to the Legislative Assembly of the Northwest Territories. The district was named after Marquess of Lorne who toured through the Northwest Territories in 1881.
