The London Mathematical Society (LMS) is one of the leading mathematical societies in the United Kingdom.

It was established in 1865 (the first president was Augustus de Morgan) and it was granted a royal charter a century later in 1965. The Society's publications include four academic journals (the Proceedings, Journal, and Bulletin and electronic Journal of Computation and Mathematics) as well as a regular members' newsletter. It also organizes mathematical conferences, provides funding to promote mathematics research and education and awards a number of prizes and fellowships for excellence in mathematical research.
