Logroņo
Logroņo (2004 pop. 142,143) is a city in northern Spain, on the Ebro River. It is the capital of the autonomous community of La Rioja.

Logroņo has long been the capital of this region, formerly known as the province of Logroņo.

It is a centre for processing the Rioja wine for which the area is noted, and has also produced wood, metal, and textile products.

Logroņo was disputed between the kings of Navarre and the kings of Castile starting in the 10th century; the region was annexed to Castile in 1173.
