Lloyd Polite
Lloyd Harlin Polite Jr (or more commonly referred to as just Lloyd) was born January 3, 1986, in New Orleans, Louisiana, US, to Lloyd Polite Sr. and Robin Polite. His father died when he was at the age of two, and he moved with his mother and older sister Brandy to Atlanta, Georgia. He was discovered by Joyce Irby and made a member of the preteen group NToon, the group was modratly successful but eventually disbanded. He then decided to try his luck at being an R&B singer as a part of Magic Johnson's company but the company was dissolved and Lloyd continued to work on his music and met LA Reid in a studio in Atlanta, he soon became a part of The Inc. Records. He was featured on Ja Rule's single, "Caught Up". His debut single was the ballad "Southside" featuring labelmate Ashanti and his debut album was also called Southside (2004).
