List of WWE pay-per-view events
Each month, World Wrestling Entertainment holds an annual pay-per-view event. One event is usually three to four hours long and features six to twelve matches. Pay-per-view events are a big part of the revenue stream for WWE. Along with World Wrestling Entertainment, other professional wrestling organizations hold monthly pay-per-views as well, such as Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.

Traditionally, World Wrestling Entertainment has a once-a-month pay-per-view schedule, which they had from the late '90s until 2003 totalling to twelve a year. But as of late, they are beginning to produce more pay-per-view events, which totals to approximately fourteen or more.

During the 90's the WWF was forced to start delivering 1 pay-per-view per month when rival promotion WCW started doing a pay-per-view for each month.

- Note: The month of March is usually reserved for the flagship pay-per-view WrestleMania although sometimes WrestleMania is broadcast early in the month of April such as WrestleMania's VI (6), X-Seven (17), 21 and 22.
