Godless communist

U.S.: Used by believers as a descriptive term for self professed communists, based on Marx referring to religion as the "opiate of the masses". State sponsored atheism and direct oppression of organized religion and private individual beliefs have been the policies of most communist governments, including the People's Republic of China http://www.tibet.ca/wtnarchive/1999/1/21_1.html, and the former Soviet Union.
