Lionel Jeffries


 

Lioniel Jeffries (born 10 June 1926 in London) is a British actor and film director. He trained at RADA after his World War II service, and built a successful career mainly in comic character roles in British films. His acting career reached a peak in the 1960s in films like Two-Way Stretch (1960), The Trials of Oscar Wilde (1960), First Men in the Moon (1964), Camelot (1967) and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968).
