Linde German Masters
The German Masters is an annual golf tournament on the men's European Tour. It is currently sponsored by Linde. The tournament was founded in 1987 and was played in Stuttgart until 1993. It then moved to Berlin from 1994 to 1997, and since 1998 it has been played at Golfclub Gut Lärchenhof in Cologne. The prize fund was ?3 million in 2005, meaning that the German Masters is one of the richer events on the European Tour outside of the major championships and the three individual World Golf Championships events. It is one of three European Tour events held in Germany, alongside the Deutsche Bank Players Championship of Europe and the BMW International Open, and is currently played in September.
