Linda Wolf
Linda Wolf, born 1950, Los Angeles. Photographer, writer, and activist. She co-authored and contributed photographs for three books: Daughters of the Moon, Sisters of the Sun: Young Women and Mentors on the Transition to Womanhood (New Society Publishers, 1997); Global Uprising: Confronting the Tyrannies of the 21st Century; Stories from a New Generation of Activists (New Society Publishers, 2001); and Speaking and Listening From the Heart - A Facilitator's Handbook (dsistas Press, 2004).

Wolf received her photography training in France between 1970-1975 with Jean-Pierre Sudre. Her work is collected in museums and private galleries, including the Bibliotheque Nationale. She is best known for her photographs of women, gypsies, and villagers of the Vaucluse Mountains, France, the content of which is mainly between documentary photography social photojournalism and portraiture.

In the 1970s Wolf co-founded Women in Photography International. She was part of the early music scene in Los Angeles, as photographer for the first all-girl rock band, Fanny, and the Joe Cocker Mad Dogs and Englishmen Tour. In 1981, she represented the United States in France at the Rencontres International de la Photographie. In 1983, she was the focus of an NBC special, "Talk About Pictures." In 1984, she produced a billboard art project, LA Welcomes the World, underwritten by Eastman Kodak for the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, California.
