Linda (coordination language)
In computer science, Linda is an implementation of the TupleSpaces model for concurrent programming. It was developed by David Gelernter and Nicolas Carriero at Yale. Other researchers include Thomas Kolarik.

JavaSpaces is an implementation of Linda in Java by Sun.

The language name seems to be a pun on Ada (programming language) tribute to Ada Lovelace http://www.kamat.com/vikas/blog.php?BlogID=261 and is actually named after another famous Lovelace, Linda Lovelace star of such classic porn films as Deep Throat http://cisnet.baruch.cuny.edu/papers/cis200210.pdf.
